The 2011 Federal Consortium for Virtual Worlds provided a look into the future, with a foot in the present. Presenters discussed the idea of “augmented reality:” the concept of blending the real and virtual worlds together to create a better learning experience and to increase knowledge retention. It is used to enhance what we see, hear, feel , and smell.
