Who we are

The Head Start Resource Center (HSRC) is a national center that supports the Office of Head Start (OHS) and Head Start children and families.

Through the Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) Network and other grantee networks, the HSRC helps design, implement, and coordinate program activity, improve program operations and performance, and develop and realize national program priorities and program improvement initiatives.

Upcoming Events

2008/2009 CLASS Training
In FY 2009, regionally based trainings will be conducted on the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) instrument and how it can be used by programs in professional development and quality improvement efforts.

2009 Tribal Consultations
The Office of Head Start is holding its annual Consultation Sessions with leaders of Tribal governments operating Head Start (including Early Head Start) programs.

2009 ECD Reviewer CLASS Training
The Office of Head Start is offering 2-day ECD Reviewer CLASS training sessions to introduce the fundamentals of CLASS. Sessions provide practice using the CLASS tool by observing and assessing videos of preschool classroom environments.
